The LuK DMF meets the ever increasing demands for driving comfort by absorbing undesirable engine vibration. Today, every second car and light van is pre-fitted with a DMF. The illustrated 28-page brochure explains in detail the design and functioning principle of the DMF as well as the constructional differences between the various DMF generations. In addition, it describes damage patterns and suggests remedial measures.

Since its launch in 1984, the LuK Dual Mass Flywheel (DMF) has been fitted as original equipment in more and more car models. And that for a very good reason – where a conventional single-mass clutch and rigid flywheel reach their limits, the DMF, with its decoupled dual masses and a torsion angle of up to 180°, can absorb much more oscillating energy.

In the end of march, the first stand-alone INA overrunning alternator pulleys (OAP) catalogue for the aftermarket will be published. The OAP catalogue encompasses a total of 110 different types for passenger cars, commercial vehicles and tractors and is available as print document and download file (at www.schaeffler-aftermarket.com).
